PROF. CYRILLE PHIPPS PRESENTS on the political context of home in 1970s Harlem, The Moynihan Report, and the Trope of the "Welfare Queen" - at the 50th anniversary of the film Claudine, a timeless story of resilience, love, and community - the first film produced by Third World Cinema - FEATURING Diahann Carroll and James Earl Jones, DIRECTED BY JOHN BERRY.
