PART OF THE FALL SPEAKERS SERIES:

Kicking off LatinX Heritage Month and the first session of the Fall Speakers Series, the Student Activities Advisory Board and Campus Activities Board would like to invite you to Labor Rights, Political Activism, and Protests: Reflections from Civil Rights Icon, Dolores Huerta.

Dolores Huerta is a civil rights activist, community organizer, and President and Founder of the Dolores Huerta Foundation. She has worked for labor rights and social justice for over 50 years. She has received numerous awards: among them The Eleanor Roosevelt Humans Rights Award from President Clinton in 1998. In 2012 President Obama bestowed Dolores with The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the United States.

This session will be moderated by Jacqueline Leon, Class of 2022.
