This is a panel hosted by members of the Science Society and SGA's Senator for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The event will feature black professionals in STEM fields elaborating on their experience in school, their journey, and how they have come to be in their current positions. While allowing students to gain access to real-world connections in their chosen field of study, this event also creates a more inclusive environment where students of color; more specifically black students, can see and can hear success stories of how to overcome adversity in this field. This event will take place over Zoom at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 16th.
