Mission
The Black and Latinx Student Association (BLSA) was created to assist in voicing the opinions and addressing the needs of the Marymount student body.

We are a heritage group composed of students who have recognized some of the problematic issues concerning the underrepresented percentage of the student body.

We realize it will take a tremendous amount of devotion and dedication from the Union to see that our needs are met and our problems are resolved.
We acknowledge that we must prove our cause is worthy of the entire community.

With the result of contributing our time and energy to the community, we hope it will be a good representation of Marymount Manhattan College unto the world.

Mission
CAB is a member organization of the Marymount Core Council.
The mission of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) is to enhance student life at Marymount Manhattan College by planning, promoting, and executing social, multicultural, recreational, and educational events for the general student body.

Membership Benefits
Members of CAB will help shape the large-scale social, cultural, educational, and community-building programs sponsored by the organization. Members will also be able to bring their ideas to life as CAB encourages new and organic programming all year long.

Mission
The Core Council at Marymount Manhattan College was established to coordinate the efforts among the six (6) major student organizations on campus to increase the engagement of the general student body, and to serve as a unifying voice to better address issues affecting the student body. To do so, the Core Council steadfastly works towards:

- Establishing, coordinating, and publicizing the activities of the member organizations
- Assisting the College's administration in attaining its student engagement objectives
- Maintaining student involvement, advocacy, and inter-council relations
- Encouraging student leaders and organizations to maintain involvement within the college community at Marymount Manhattan College

Membership Benefits
The executive board of the Core Council is comprised of one representative from a number of active, longstanding student organizations on campus. The Core Council may never exceed six (6) member organizations. The participating organizations were selected, in part, due to the far-reaching nature of their mission and/or programming efforts and their perceived ability to work towards the overall mission of the Core Council. Currently, the following student organizations represent and sit on the Core Council:

- The Monitor

Mission
Griffin Yearbook is a member organization of the Marymount Core Council.

The mission of the MMC Yearbook is to preserve and provide memories of Marymount Manhattan College's academic year.

This is done by a number of students whose goal is to demonstrate the sense of unity and pride among the students, faculty, staff of the MMC community. The MMC Yearbook staff captures major events from both the Fall and Spring semesters, all the way until Graduation/Commencement.

We continue to share new ideas about photographs and layout skills and your ideas are definitely welcome!

Mission
SGA is a member organization of the Marymount Core Council.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is the main governing body for student concerns and student representation. It is comprised of an Executive Board, Student Senate, and Divisional Representatives.

Clubs and organizations are also affiliated with the SGA through the allocation of club budgets which is overseen by the SGA Treasurer. The organization is advised by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and is housed in the Student Organization Suite in the Main Building, room 302.

SGA has a threefold purpose:

To broaden the base of student involvement in the College to enhance school spirit.
To enable students to gain leadership qualities needed to run the government body effectively. Broadening the base of student involvement means not only increase the numbers of students involved in the Student Government but also equally as important, it means having the diverse range of students represented in and through their Student Government.
To fight for students' rights and improve school policies.

Mission
MMC's The Monitor is the entirely student-run newspaper of
Marymount Manhattan College.

What is The Monitor?

The Monitor is Marymount Manhattan College's student-run digital newspaper that releases new pieces weekly. We focus our stories on the student body - how these stories affect them, how these stories are about them, how we feel about the school, etc.

MMC's The Monitor has a circulation of 1,000 and a shared readership.

MMC's The Monitor is funded through the Student Activity Fee supplemented by generous, local businesses purchasing ad space.
