The Black and Latinx Student Association (BLSA) was created to assist in voicing the opinions and addressing the needs of the Marymount student body.

We are a heritage group composed of students who have recognized some of the problematic issues concerning the underrepresented percentage of the student body.

We realize it will take a tremendous amount of devotion and dedication from the Union to see that our needs are met and our problems are resolved.
We acknowledge that we must prove our cause is worthy of the entire community.

With the result of contributing our time and energy to the community, we hope it will be a good representation of Marymount Manhattan College unto the world.

CAB is a member organization of the Marymount Core Council.
The mission of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) is to enhance student life at Marymount Manhattan College by planning, promoting, and executing social, multicultural, recreational, and educational events for the general student body.

Members of CAB will help shape the large-scale social, cultural, educational, and community-building programs sponsored by the organization. Members will also be able to bring their ideas to life as CAB encourages new and organic programming all year long.

Career and Professional Development offers a phased approach to professional development and career readiness. Services offered include: resume and cover letter writing and review, interview preparation (including mock interviews with immediate feedback), job search tips, introduction to networking, and general career counseling. Students will have the opportunity to discover possible career interests, acquire the tools needed to secure employment, and successfully navigate the job market or effectively pursue advanced degrees.

The Center for Academic Support and Tutoring (CAST) serves the following functions:

1. Providing exceptional academic support for all Marymount students.
2. Administering placement exams for incoming students who are eligible.

Our professional tutors hold advanced degrees, and peer tutors are top students referred by faculty. We provide a variety of support services for the entire MMC community, including:

- Academic tutoring in subject areas
- Placement testing

The Cinemaniacs believe in the power, responsibility, and beauty of film as a form of visual art. Filmmakers have the ability to impact the world by combining technology, imagination, and self-expression to alter our perception. Our mission is to use film/media as a tool to facilitate analytical discussions of social issues that concentrate on race, gender, disability, and socio-economic status as they are presented in the film and how that affects our culture in society.

The Core Council at Marymount Manhattan College was established to coordinate the efforts among the six (6) major student organizations on campus to increase the engagement of the general student body, and to serve as a unifying voice to better address issues affecting the student body. To do so, the Core Council steadfastly works towards:

- Establishing, coordinating, and publicizing the activities of the member organizations
- Assisting the College's administration in attaining its student engagement objectives
- Maintaining student involvement, advocacy, and inter-council relations
- Encouraging student leaders and organizations to maintain involvement within the college community at Marymount Manhattan College

The executive board of the Core Council is comprised of one representative from a number of active, longstanding student organizations on campus. The Core Council may never exceed six (6) member organizations. The participating organizations were selected, in part, due to the far-reaching nature of their mission and/or programming efforts and their perceived ability to work towards the overall mission of the Core Council. Currently, the following student organizations represent and sit on the Core Council:

The Marymount Manhattan College Dance Department Club of Representatives is a group of motivated dance students who strive to create a fulfilling and positive experience for all MMC Dance Majors.

Our mission is to:

Create a dialogue between the dance students and the dance faculty in an effort to foster direct communication and establish mutual goals for the betterment and integrity of the Department.
Bring issues of concern to the Student Government and the College at large that have a direct impact on the quality of student life in regards to academic and student events' scheduling, course offerings, and facilities management.
Increase opportunities for the dance students and/or dance faculty to convene and socialize outside of the classroom experience through Dance Department functions.
Raise funds that will benefit Dance Department student events/projects and students in financial need.
We believe this can be accomplished by applying the values of respect, honesty, humility, dedication, and hard work. We are an organization designed to improve the quality of life for the MMC dance major.

Mission
Dead Rabbits Society is Marymount's premiere sketch comedy team. We produce three shows in a semester that showcases original content written, directed, and performed by students. Our sketches range from the silly and weird, to the political and pop culture-savvy.



Our team members are encouraged through their love of comedy to build their writing and performing skills in the form of sketch theatre, and establishes habits of responsibility by balancing commitment to both the club and their academic standing in the College. If you're interested in joining our team, yearly auditions are held at the end of September, with no experience required!
