    The Student Government Association has a number of open position that it is looking to fill. Please review the following positions and complete the questions below if you are interested in any of the offerings. We look forward to you joining the team.&nbsp;<br /> (You may want to screen shot this page for reference)<br /> <br /> <br /> <strong>Senator Positions<br /> Senator for Campus Safety: </strong>The senator for Campus Safety will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association on the safety of students at the college. This position will regularly&nbsp;attend, and&nbsp;serve on the colleges Campus Safety Advisory Committee. This&nbsp;senator&nbsp;position must plan and host one program in the fall and one program in the spring semester. This position will meet monthly with a representative from Campus Safety.&nbsp; <p><strong>First Year Council Member: </strong>The first year council is a group no more than 5 first year MMC and NYC Scholar students with future leadership potential. The first year council will report any issues affecting the first year class to the Student Government Association. This group will host two tabling events, one in the fall semester and one in the Spring semester.</p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Instructions:</b>&nbsp;NOTICE: If you are applying for any of the positions above, it is your responsibility to read and understand the SGA qualifications and guidelines as well as the SGA constitution.

    The Student Government Association has a number of open position that it is looking to fill. We look forward to you joining the team.&nbsp;<br /> (You may want to screen shot this page for reference)<br /> <br /> <br /> <b data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Senator for Health&nbsp;</b><br /> The senator for Health will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association&nbsp; regarding the health of the student body. They can partner with the Senator for Campus Safety for Safer Sex week, but will have to host their own event at lease once a semester, Safer Sex week not included. Their contacts include the Office of Disability Services and the Counseling and Wellness Center.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Senator for Transfer Student Life:</b><br /> The senator for Transfer Student Life will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association on issues affecting Transfer Students on campus. This position will provide specific programming for this population, and may propose ideas to better engage and support this group. The senator elected to this position must identify as a Transfer student. This senator position meet regularly with Stephanie Tovar and Hayden Greene, must plan and host programming for National Transfer Student Week and Transfer Student Appreciation Day.<br /> <br /> <b>Senator for International Students:&nbsp;</b>The senator for International Students will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association on issues affecting International Students at the college. This position will provide specific programming for this population, and may propose ideas to better engage and support this group. This position will meet regularly with the Assistant Director for International Student Services. This position will host at least one event per semester.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> <b>Senator for Media and Technology</b><br /> The senator for Media and Technology will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association on issues regarding IT, Brightspace, Zoom, Wifi, Class Climate Surveys, and any general media and device related issues both on campus and in the residence halls. This position will meet regularly with their contacts and host an event or initiative at least once per semester.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <p dir="ltr"><b id="docs-internal-guid-0d904a18-7fff-ea20-fe5c-898ba32f1f49">Senator for Senior Issues&nbsp;</b></p> <p dir="ltr" role="presentation"><meta charset="utf-8" /><b id="docs-internal-guid-20093298-7fff-2f6f-8fb2-55df76e5f9e8">The senator for Senior Issues will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association on pertinent information regarding graduating seniors. This position will serve as the liaison between the SGA and the Senior Marshals, and must meet all the requirements to be a Senior Marshal at the time of election. </b><br /> <br /> <meta charset="utf-8" /></p> <p dir="ltr"><b id="docs-internal-guid-78427e38-7fff-5e4b-574d-8b2f2797fa93">Senator for Campus Safety&nbsp;</b></p> <p dir="ltr" role="presentation"><b id="docs-internal-guid-78427e38-7fff-5e4b-574d-8b2f2797fa93">The senator for Campus Safety will provide regular updates to the Student Government Association on the safety of students at the college. This position will regularly attend, and serve on the college&rsquo;s Campus Safety Advisory Committee.
